Trucks
Trucks in AlmaSim are governed by Rimpull and Retard performance profiles and obey the various types of speed constraints and behaviour implications specified in the project.
Adding a New Truck
To add a new truck, from the Build > Equipment > Truck menu, choose the Add Truck button.

A wizard will appear with a pre-populated default trucks.
Vehicle Weights
Vehicle weights specifiy both the Empty and Loaded vehicle weights when calculating the nominal return travel time for a particular circuit.

In the case of stoachastic distributions for payload, the nominal weight will represent the distribution's mean.
Rimpull
The acceleration capacity of truck are governed by their rimpull profile. Profiles are used based on the road type and propulsion type. In the case of Trolley-assist segments, profile with corresponding Electric Energy-types will be used. By default, the higher orders profile will be selected.

Retard
The braking capacity of truck are governed by their retard profile. Profiles are used based on the road type and propulsion type. In the case of Trolley-assist segments, profile with corresponding Electric Energy-types will be used. By default, the higher orders profile will be selected.

Speed Limits
Speed limits are specified in the remainign tabs of the Truck creating wizard. Values are linearly interpolated between specified inputs. If the actual value lies outside the specified limits, the the specified limit is used.
To ignore these values, set the speed limit higher than the maximum speed limit specified in the Rimpull and Retard profiles. AlmaSim's output speed is the lowest out of the set.
Grade Limits
Grade limits are the speed limit that the truck will adhere to when traversing segments both Empty or Loaded. Segment values outside of the specified limits will clip to those limits.

Curve Limits
Grade limits are the speed limit that the truck will adhere to when traversing segments both Empty or Loaded. Specify values from 0 to 180 inclusive.

Road width Limits
Road Width limits are the speed limit that the truck will adhere to when traversing segments both Empty or Loaded. Segment values outside of the specified limits will clip to those limits.
